Roswold Foundation for Injured Children
Each year, more than 9 million American children visit the emergency room after suffering an unintentional injury. Of those ER visits, nearly 12,000 result in mortality. In fact, unintentional injuries are the leading cause of both death and disability for children and adolescents alike.
Whether you're a parent, grandparent, teacher, coach, experienced mentor, or expectant mother or father, when it comes to child safety and injury prevention, we're here to help answer any questions you might have now or in the future. For instance:
A childhood injury can devastate a family socially, emotionally, and economically. Relationships are put under strain as each person affected (directly or indirectly) by the accident deals with feelings like guilt, grief, and shame. Many of the more serious childhood injuries require extensive and ongoing medical treatment from a variety of different specialists. Medical bills, along with other necessary personal finances, can quickly become overwhelming.
At Roswold Foundation for Injured Children (RFFIC) we are dedicated to improving the quality of life for injured children, along with the families that love and support them. Our motto is, "Building Brighter Tomorrows," and that's exactly what we aim to do! We work to connect injured children with individuals who will help empower them and promote their self confidence.
Please take a moment to look around and explore our website. Most childhood injuries can be prevented, so we encourage you to take advantage of the abundance of resources made available to you here.
